Translucent inserted volumes activate a conserved building.

The project, in context

SCDA organised new spaces around the existing central atrium in Singapore’s Bras Basah district. The inserted volumes support exhibitions and interaction while preserving the larger historic fabric. The centre officially opened in March 2014.
