Yuanfuli Historic Quarter

The project

Yuanfuli brings commercial and office uses into a protected historic quarter in central Hangzhou. The ensemble combines three European-style commercial buildings, six Chinese buildings from the late Qing and early Republican period, and four buildings restoring historic architectural form. Streets and shared spaces become part of the old city’s living memory.
