About gad, at a glance

What is gad?

gad is an architectural design and engineering consultancy founded in Hangzhou, China, in 1997. Its work spans residential communities, workplaces, hospitality, education, cultural buildings and mixed-use developments.

Where does gad work?

The practice has teams in Hangzhou, Shanghai, Qingdao, Xiamen, Chongqing and Chengdu. Its portfolio includes projects in China, LUMENA by OMNIYAT in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the Phuket One proposal in Thailand.

What is gad’s role in LUMENA by OMNIYAT?

gad led the concept and initial schematic design for LUMENA in Business Bay, Dubai. Atkins is responsible for further design development and construction documentation. The project is under construction; published images are architectural visualisations credited to OMNIYAT.
