Wuchang Metro Training Center

The project

A training center for Hangzhou’s expanding metro network takes its flowing profile from the movement of a train and the softness of silk. Large teaching equipment, an auditorium and exhibition spaces occupy the ground floor and podium. An undulating landscape rises above these larger spaces, giving the campus gardens and shared outdoor areas a continuous surface. Training, education and administration are brought together within the 12,134 m² building.
