Sibao Qibao Kindergarten

The project

Twelve classrooms form the starting point for a kindergarten conceived as a flexible landscape for learning. Shifted building volumes, open ground-floor spaces and connecting walkways give children room to explore in different weather conditions. Roof gardens bring nature into everyday routines. Delivered under an architect-led responsibility model, the project brought design, cost consultancy, tendering and construction management into a coordinated process, leaving room for future changes in teaching and use.
