Individual / AWARD GUIDE

AIA Gold Medal

AIA’s highest annual honour recognizes a lasting contribution to architectural theory and practice.

What it recognises

This is a career distinction for individuals, including eligible joint bodies of work. It is separate from the AIA Architecture Firm Award and from awards given to specific buildings.

Awards may recognise an individual, a building or a practice. Recognition of a founder is not an award for every project produced by their firm.
