Background & practice
Julie Stout's career combines architecture with teaching, advocacy and civic activism. Her early work questioned conventional housing and explored ways to connect living spaces with the outdoors. After experience with Marshall Cook and work on a women's community centre in Fiji, she collaborated with David Mitchell in Mitchell & Stout.
