GAD / PERSON PROFILE
Jack Manning
Jack Manning's career began with experience in the office of Group Architects and extended across houses and large commercial buildings.
Background & practice
Jack Manning's career began with experience in the office of Group Architects and extended across houses and large commercial buildings. The NZIA's 2011 Gold Medal citation contrasts his early family house with Wellington's Majestic Centre, designed decades later. It links design confidence with a detailed understanding of construction and the close connection between drawing and making. His work illustrates continuity in architectural judgement without repetition of building form.
